Energy Solutions Apprentice
Due to continuing growth, we require an Energy Solutions Apprentice to strengthen the existing team located within the North West.
The Company
Vital Energi is a major provider of renewable energy infrastructure and systems to the public and private sectors. We are supporting Hospitals, Universities, New Build developments, Towns and Cities as well as Industrial and Commercial clients to decarbonise their buildings.
We have and continue to work on ground-breaking projects throughout the UK which are supporting the UK’s Net Zero targets, such as the recently announced £1 billion low-carbon infrastructure project for Westminster.
With plans to double our headcount over the coming years, supported by offices opening in new locations across the country and our strong investment pipeline, coupled with our expansion into new markets such as industrial power generation with our very own Energy-from-Waste facility, there is no better time to join the family here at Vital Energi.
About the role
We’re seeking motivated and talented individuals with an interest in the energy sector to join us on our journey to reduce carbon emissions.
To assist with the efficient and effective operation of the Solutions function within the Company, we’re seeking an Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to join a fast-growing energy sector and gain practical skills and experience whilst working on real energy projects.
The successful candidate will work towards a Level 3 Energy Management qualification, to support the building of skills as part of our team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Apply existing and develop new IT skills to draft documents and presentations on particular topics
- Take notes in meetings and build your knowledge to support discussions
- Review energy data (energy bills, meter readings etc.) to assist with project development
- Sense-check and validate energy information to help ensure our projects are operating efficiently
- Take part in site surveys to take photographs, meter readings and notes in support of project development and operation
- Conduct independent research into energy technologies or regulations
- Ensure all work activities are delivered in an effective, professional, and courteous manner
- Be available for any training requirement requested by the business
What you will need
- Grade A to C/5+ GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics, English Language, and ICT
